Certification
Part of my role as an eLearning Producer on the Pico L&D team requires maintaining and updating the two Corvil certified courses. The Corvil Certfied Administrator (CCA) and the Corvil Certified Expert (CCE).
The CCA course is online and self-paced while the CCE course takes place over two days and is instructor-led.
Objective
The goal for 2020 was to include a more interactive experience for clients undertaking the CCA course.
I proposed a simulation as an ideal interactivity element to add to the CCA given that the course is largely process driven.
Challenges
In early 2020, this R&D project began in earnest but it wasn't without challenges. I had to get up to speed learning Articulate Storyline and then COVID 19 hit.
By the end of 2020, I developed not one but two simulations:
Configuring LDAP Authentication and Authorization
Restricting Data to Corvil Data
Feedback from Pico clients to date has been positive.
